Zucchero and Marina Cicogna have been awarded the 'Keys of Ischia' which they will withdraw during the 18th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival (12-19 July). (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - NAPLES, JULY 07 - The 'Keys of Ischia' have been assigned to Zucchero and Marina Cicogna and will collect them in the 18th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival (July 12-19). The festival will be opened by Deputy Minister of Health Pierpaolo Sileri, for an inauguration that will mark the safe recovery of the showbiz activities in Italy, with the patronage of the Italian Red Cross and a special dedication to Maestro Ennio Morricone.
    '' Zucchero is a sincere friend of Ischia and his presence this year is even more significant - says TonyRenis, honorary president of the festival - At Marina Cicognapiamo we can only say thank you for the great work done in the last 18 years in favor of the Global fest and for the prestige of the island in the world '. The awards will be delivered by the mayor of Ischia Vincenzo Ferrandino. In the history of the festival, Zucchero's performance with Sting and Bocellinel is unforgettable. In 2016 the musician went to the Ischia Humanitarian Award for the song against hatred after the Bataclan massacre. The proceeds of Zucchero's latest single 'Soul mama' will be developed at the 'COVID 19 - Let's support the music' fund. MarinaCicogna is an honorary member of the festival's board with Enrico Lucherini, Enrico Vanzina, the Oscar Bille August, Bobby Moresco and Paul Haggis awards and the producers Mark Canton (USA) and Trudie Styler (UK).
    The Keys of Ischia are a recognition created by the Ischia International Art Academy and assigned every year to show business and cultural figures who boast an authentic link with the territory and who, with their presence, contribute to increasing the international fame of the island.
