The spread of the Corona virus in Israel: The Corona National Information and Knowledge Center for Corona Campaign released (Friday) updated data on the morbidity situation in Israel. The data shows that a new record of 24-day-on-site (1,464 new-onset) infections was broken and an increase in patients in serious condition (30 new severe patients).   

In terms of adhesion percentages, 5.5% are infected with the total corona test done in the last 24 hours. It should be noted that the number of tests also broke a record - 26,446 tests. In the past week, there has been a rise in certain morbidity centers, including Kiryat Malachi - where 83% of patients were detected in the past week alone, and also in Raanana - where 76% of patients were detected in recent days. 

There are currently 16,517 active patients in Corona in Israel. The death toll from the disease is 350, so far 18,652 have recovered from the virus.

Against the background of rising morbidity data, the Ministerial Committee on Restricted Areas announced tonight that it has decided to declare certain parts of different cities as restricted areas for seven days, starting today at 1:00 pm until next Friday, July 17, at 8:00 am - a joint statement released Of the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Health.

The places the government has decided to declare as a restricted area are:  Beit Shemesh - Nahalot and Rest neighborhoods and the perfume barrel, Jerusalem - Romah neighborhoods, Kiryat Sanz and Belz and Kiryat Mattressdorf, Lod - Forest gardens and Sacha Ramla - Amidar Bilu  neighborhood and Kiryat Malachi - Rutner estate And the Chabad neighborhood.

In addition, the Ministerial Committee has decided to announce the railway neighborhoods, Snir and Neve Shalom in the city of Lod as a limited area for an additional five days, after the previous declaration expires - from today at 13:00 until Wednesday at 8:00 am.

In restricted areas, entry and exit to and from the restricted area will be restricted, as well as traffic and business activity within the restricted area itself. Alongside this, the Director General of the Ministry of Health will soon sign an order limiting the activities of educational institutions starting at age 10 in Modi'in Illit, Beit Shemesh, and in neighborhoods C, 7 and 8 in Ashdod.
