Lucette Michaux-Chevry, former minister of Jacques Chirac, was heard by the police "under the regime of police custody" Thursday morning, as part of a financial investigation, we learned from the prosecutor's office of Basse -Terre, confirming information from local media.
Lucette Michaux-Chevry was interviewed during 2:30 in the case of "financing of the electoral campaign of Mr. Ary Chalus (president of the Guadeloupe region) during the last regional" in 2015, said Jean-Luc Lennon, public prosecutor from Basse-Terre.
Other suspicions and convictions
The former minister of Jacques Chirac, also former mayor of Basse-Terre and former president of the Greater South Caribbean agglomeration community, aged 91, was questioned at the police station of the capital.
If "other people had already been heard in this case", this has "not yet been the case for Ary Chalus", according to Jean-Luc Lennon who specifies that there is, for the time being, "No indictment in this case". But "there will be other police custody," according to the same source.
This alleged affair comes on top of suspicions or convictions for Lucette Michaux-Chevry, a figure in local politics.
