Roselyne Bachelot's autobiography, My life in pink, postponed to 2021

The Minister of Culture's tenth book was due to be released on September 23 at Albin Michel's. It will finally be published in 2021 due to delay in writing.

One might think that the arrival in government of Roselyne Bachelot has turned her entire calendar upside down. But the decision to delay the publication of his autobiography, My life in pink , "was taken before his appointment," says its editor Lise Boëll at LivresHebdo . Initially scheduled for September 23, the book will not be released by Albin Michel until 2021 because there is a delay in writing, explains the editor. And with her government functions, the minister should have little time to devote to the work before next year.

My life in pink must retrace the major stages of Roselyne Bachelot's journey and will return to societal subjects which have been the subject of debate in France and which are dear to the new minister. Among them: marriage for all, the place of women in sports or the dignity of the sick.

A tenth book expected

Appointed Minister of Culture, his autobiography will be carefully scrutinized. It is not, however, his first work. After several committed trials: The Pacs between love and hate (2000), Les Maires: fête or defeat? (2002), Roselyne Bachelot put her passion for opera into words in Verdi in love (2013) and in an anthology of her classic favorites in the form of a disc, Salut à la France (2016).

Above all, she has written many autobiographical texts with La Petite Fille de la Ve (2015), which presents half a century of political history and her latest book Corentine (2019), telling the painful life of her Breton grandmother. .

She continues her momentum with My Life in Pink , which will address her forty years of political career and her personal life. A new book expected like that of "the Minister of Culture" and no longer of "Roselyne Bachelot", a media personality. But it is unlikely that there will be any anecdotes about the new Castex government. For this, you will have to wait for a next try.
