The events took place around 10:45 pm in the city of Paul Mistral when the victim, in his vehicle, was " chased " by a car in which were his two alleged attackers, said in a statement Eric Vaillant, the public prosecutor of Grenoble.

The individuals then opened fire in the direction of the 30-something vehicle, the rear of which was hit by several projectiles. One of them crossed the front seat to " reach the driver's back ," said the magistrate.
The injured man managed to get out of his car before collapsing. His state of health, considered " hopeless " when he was admitted to the hospital, " would have stabilized " on Sunday.
Born in 1981, the victim of this " attempted homicide " is known to the justice system after several convictions " for acts of drug trafficking and criminal associations ", according to the same source.
The car of the alleged shooters, one of whom was " wearing a clown wig ", was set on fire by the latter, who were recovered by another vehicle. A " 9 mm automatic pistol loader ", " a 7.62 caliber holster and a 9 mm impact holster " were found near the wreckage.
The public prosecutor's office entrusted the investigation to the Grenoble judicial police branch.
