The foreign ministers of the EU member states met on July 13 to discuss the "National Security Act of the Port Area". After the meeting, Josep Borrell, the high-level representative of the EU's foreign affairs and security policy, said that he was preparing to submit to Beijing the implementation of the "National Security Act of the Port Area" in Beijing. The government imposed sanctions, which did not involve economic aspects.

Borelli believes that some member states will announce some arrangements separately, and the EU's overall measures are expected to be announced within a few days.
