There seemed to be a fix. Cecilio Domínguez and the Independiente leadership had reached an agreement 10 days ago for the Paraguayan to collect the debt that the club has maintained with him since November. But, tired of waiting and with the deadlines met, the former America of Mexico declared himself a free player.
When 12 soccer players from the campus intimidated the club in May due to salary debts, Domínguez chose to follow a different path and, without a document letter or with Guild Soccer players in the middle, preferred to arrange directly with the leaders.
The debt with the forward extends from November and from January that he does not receive the salary. Despite this, he did not want to take belligerent measures, hoping to reach a hand-to-hand arrangement with the CD. The agreement was: they would pay him in three installments the total amount owed, although they did not sustain it.
And sunk in red numbers, the 15 scheduled days that Cecilio Domínguez gave the club to receive the money have passed and, therefore, he is considered free to act.
Domínguez's situation is fueled by a great economic loss for Rojo, who in 2018 had bought it for six million dollars (75% of the pass). To make matters worse, the last week the club had been fined US $ 807,000 for failing to fulfill part of the debt with Mexico's America for the transfer. In addition, it is known, he was one of the highest paid players on the team.

Domínguez's situation is similar to that of Gastón Silva, a Uruguayan defender who also considered himself free for lack of payment and is now in legal dispute with Independiente.
The Cecilio thing was known on the same day that Silvio Romero understood that his hours at the club are numbered, since he is also in conflict with the leadership. In addition, this Monday Sánchez Miño asked to be sold and began training separately from the main campus (via Zoom), while Lucas Biglia announced that he will not return to Argentine football ...
On Monday, the campus resumed practices after a two-week break. But the Paraguayan was absent and, if he did not reach an agreement to reverse the situation, it would be a very noticeable loss for Lucas Pusineri, who has already confirmed that he would take it into account for what is to come, understanding that he can regain his football level .
