Today (14th) at nearly 3 pm, a fire broke out at a store in the ground floor of Yumin Centre in Kwun Tong. The staff immediately extinguished the fire and called the police for help. The case was listed as an arson and two fugitive students were being pursued. The two men were wearing light blue tops and black trousers at the time of the incident. The case was referred to the Criminal Investigation Team of Xiu Maoping Police District for follow-up. The shop owner said that at the time, two young people of South Asian descent wearing school uniforms entered the home store front and back. One of them took a lighter from the cash register and then ignited camphor cakes and camphor pills to escape. The customer saw the flames on the shelves and immediately notified the clerk. The clerk extinguished the fire and the goods in the store were burned. The proprietress revealed that she had seen the two enter the store before.
