The exodus of Jaguares players to Europe continues. This Tuesday it was confirmed that Matías Alemanno will continue his career in Gloucester, a club of the Premiership, the first division of English rugby. The second Cordovan line, which will have its first experience in Europe at the age of 28, became the fifth key piece that the Argentine franchise has lost in the last month and a half, amid doubts about what will be in store for 2021.

It was the British club itself that announced the signing of the Argentine, in a statement highlighting that Alemanno is a "physical and aggressive player, whose style of play will adapt perfectly to the league."

A few days ago, in a talk with the Argentine Rugby Union , the Cordovan had commented that when thinking about his future, the priority was the possibility of competing at a high level. "Obviously the economy is important, but at this point in my career, in which I am in full growth, I do not put so much emphasis on that aspect, but on the competition. It is more important to go to an ambitious team, with good coaches and that play in a good tournament, "he said.

Alemanno is the last protagonist of a flight of talents that Jaguars suffer, without competition since March for the coronavirus pandemic and with a big question mark about what will happen next year with Super Rugby.

Since the beginning of June, the team lost coach Gonzalo Quesada and Marcos Kremer , who will continue working together at the Stade Francais in the Top 14 in France; to Guido Petti , who signed with Bordeaux, another team of the same tournament; and Captain Jerónimo de la Fuente , new player of Perpignan, of the second division of that country.

Two future figures in the franchise also left. Lucas Mensa , captain of Ceibos, the second UAR franchise, which played the American Super League, did not add minutes with the orange shirt and decided to continue his career in Valence Romans, in the French second division. And Facundo Cordero , Santiago's brother, also a member of Ceibos and with a past in Jaguars XV, will join Exeter Chiefs of England.

And the leak would continue in the coming weeks. Because Matías Orlando , whose contract with the UAR expires at the end of this season, would have everything agreed to join Newcastle Falcons of the Premiership in 2021. Leicester would be interested in hiring Julián Montoya and Matías Moroni . Beziers from France would also look for Santiago MedranoEmiliano Boffelli could join Racing 92 and Lucas Paulos and Joaquín Díaz Bonilla , Pau.
