A dangerous drug lord who has been housed in the maximum security prison of Ezeiza since last year, was tried with preventive detention. A judge in Misiones accuses him of being the perpetrator of a double homicide committed in December 2015, in what would be revenge for the "delivery" of a shipment of marijuana to the Gendarmería.

This is Néstor Fabián “Negro” Rojas (54) , who is also suspected of planning the murder of one of the judges who was investigating him. The plan was to be carried out by two Brazilian hitmen last March, but the closure of the borders due to the advance of the coronavirus frustrated the gang's plans.

For the investigating judge Fernando Verón, there is sufficient evidence on the participation of Rojas in the murder of Sebastián Vega and Rodrigo Ibarra. The gang's target was Vega, whom the drug lord blamed for the seizure of a million-dollar load of marijuana by the Gendarmerie.

On the night of December 17, 2015, Vega was making a barbecue at his house with his friend Ibarra when he received a mysterious call. He told his relatives to take care of the meat, that he would be back in a while. His friend decided to accompany him and at that moment he signed his death sentence.

As soon as the Chevrolet Agile was parked on Bustamante Avenue, they were shot to death. For Judge Verón, Rojas was one of the material authors of the double homicide and that is why he decided to prosecute him.

Until then, Néstor Fabián Rojas was only known in Federal Justice because he had already served a sentence for drug trafficking. But from then on his name was associated with crimes and a possible link with the dreaded Brazilian organization First Capital Command.

Telephone tapping and some statements finished closing the accusation on Rojas, which would reappear in the police reports in August 2018, again linked to a murder with the drug trafficking seal.

Aldo Canteros lived in the rural area of Gobernador Roca and had a small workshop. It was actually a facade, since there he collected marijuana from Paraguay and used his knowledge to put together double funds in cars and trucks to transport that drug to the consumption centers.

On August 5, Canteros and Rojas got together to eat a barbecue and perhaps close a new business, but the homeowner ended up assassinated with several bullets. He is believed to have been executed for keeping a load of "Negro" marijuana . It is that a few meters from his house and buried almost two tons of that drug were found.

Rojas was captured a week later in a tourist complex in Posadas when he was negotiating with three Entre Ríos for the sale of three kilos of cocaine. In October, after the arrest of four undocumented and heavily armed Brazilians, the version emerged that they had arrived to rescue the drug lord from the prison where he was staying.

It was then that his transfer to Ezeiza was arranged, a situation that generated the detainee's anger. Thereafter, Rojas began planning with Judge Verón's crime with his lieutenants because he believed that his investigations could end up disrupting all of his criminal organization.

The band was communicating on WhatsApp and everything was revealed when a man considered Rojas' right hand was arrested. In his possession were found Federal Police uniforms, an M16 rifle and a Glock pistol.

The shooting attack on Verón was to be carried out by Brazilian hitmen who had to supply two powerful motorcycles and the necessary information on the route the magistrate used daily to go to work.
