Canada and the United States are preparing to extend the closure of their common border to all non-essential travel until August 21, AFP learned from a source on Tuesday, but no official confirmation has been announced.

The longest border in the world has been closed since March 21, except for trade in goods and goods. The agreement between the two countries runs until July 21 and should be extended by a month, the source said in Ottawa.
