Nicmer Evans: Half of Chavismo is not with Maduro, nor with the MUD (Video of 2016)
(CNN Spanish) - The Venezuelan political scientist and opposition leader Nicmer Evans, dissident of the ruling United Socialist Party (PSUV), reported live on Monday night through his social networks the moment he was delivered to alleged security agents who they reportedly issued an "arrest warrant" against him.
“Right now they are notifying me. They got to where I am. This is the arrest warrant, ”Evans said in a transmission through his Instagram account @nicmerevans while showing the document in which the signature of a judicial authority is appreciated.

Evans said the order mentions a charge of "hate speech" without specifying the specific fact for which he would be prosecuted.
CNN does not know whether Evans has a private attorney or was assigned a public defender. "I warn once that, unfortunately, Venezuela is experiencing a circumstance of a new dictatorship where crimes are imputed without any reason," he said in the publication.
“I was a Chavista, but I never was for this. I was a Chavista and I never was to attempt against people. I was chavista so that there was more freedom. There was a deception, there was fraud, "he added before the transmission ended.
CNN contacted the Ministry of Communication and the press office of the Public Ministry to obtain their versions of this arrest, but so far we have not received a response.
OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro reacted Tuesday on his Twitter account about Evans' arrest.
We demand the immediate release of @NicmerEvans, of all political prisoners, and an end to the persecution in #Venezuela. The criminal dictatorship must respect the rights in the country and be brought to justice to pay for the crimes committed against Venezuelans. https://t.co/GBR94azzB9
