Four criminals, two of them with sophisticated weapons, assaulted a Chinese-owned supermarket in Santos Lugares and, in flight, shot at the police until they managed to take refuge in a San Martín settlement and abandoned the van in which they were moving.

The incident occurred this Monday around 14:30 at the "Super Lía" supermarket, located in Marco Polo and Lisandro de la Torre, where four heavily armed assailants threatened the owner of the store and customers.

Although in the images of the security cameras of the premises it is seen that two thieves carried weapons similar to machine guns, police sources explained to Télam that they actually carried a "Kit Roni" , which is a complement where the .9mm pistol is placed and gives you a submachine gun appearance with a grip, a nock, scope, flashlight, and room for a second magazine.

The assailants took about 5,000 pesos from one of the boxes, some belongings of the people who were in the store and, even, from some roast cuts and vacuum from the butcher , after which they boarded a Volkswagen Tiguan truck and escaped.

A local employee alerted 911 and several cell phones from the Tres de Febrero Patrol Command began chasing the assailants. In the flight, the criminals pulled their weapons out the windows and fired shots at the police as they headed for the San Martín party.

When they reached the intersection of Vidal and Frondizi streets, from the "La Tranquila" settlement, in that Buenos Aires party, the assailants left the vehicle abandoned and escaped on foot. By court order, the van was preserved so that the experts could trace it so that it could identify the criminals, still fugitives.

The owner of the assaulted supermarket, a 26-year-old Chinese national, told police that the thieves stole a computer, about 5,000 pesos in cash, a Samsung-branded cell phone, as well as personal items from customers who they were in trade.

The investigation is carried out by the police station of Santos Lugares and the head of the UFI 10 in San Martín, José Miguel Guozden.
