Explosives disposal classes arrived at the scene. About 1,200 construction workers needed immediate evacuation. The police blocked the scene and firefighters were on alert.
An MTR spokesman said that due to the discovery of a pre-war bomb near Kai Tak Station, at the request of the police, to ensure safety, Kai Tak Station needs to be temporarily closed, and the first phase of the Tunma Line will not stop at Kai Tak Station.
