Explosions in Iran: Iranian news agency "Irna" reported today (Sunday) an explosion and fire at the central power station of the city of Isfahan.

According to Iranian news agency reports, no one was injured in the blast and large firefighters arrived at the scene. The station's director, Musa Razai, told Irena that electricity production at the facility was continuing as usual.

A large fire was also reported that broke out at a paint and cellophane factory near the city of Tiberias in the northwest of the country, where there were no casualties. Yesterday, a major oil pipeline exploded in southwestern Iran, and a huge fire broke out on the spot. This is according to reports from sources related to the opposition in the country.

The blast occurred near the town of Sir Bender in Ahwaz district, where there is a large Arab population and there is an uprising against the government. About two weeks ago an explosion occurred at a main power plant in the same district.

This is another incident in the chain of incidents that have plagued the country's sensitive facilities in the past month. Three days ago, a fire broke out on seven ships in the port of Bushehr.

The notable incident took place at the Natanz nuclear facility earlier this month. The incident reportedly hit the Iranian nuclear program. In some reports, the attack was attributed to Israel.
