Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha-SRT) achieved his first victory in the premier category of motorcycling this Sunday at the Spanish MotoGP Grand Prix. It was also the first victory for a Frenchman since 1999 , in a career marked by the epic comeback and very hard fall of Marc Márquez , who had to leave.
At the Ángel Nieto circuit in Jerez de la Frontera, the Frenchman entered the goal in front of the Spanish Maverick Viñales, also with Yamaha, and the Italian Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati).
The race was marked by the spectacular comeback of six-time world champion Marc Márquez (Honda) who, however, could not finish after suffering a hard fall when fighting for second place with Viñales.

- ayyaa` ^ (@nonuchwe) July 19, 2020"It is the best moment of my life," said Quartararo upon arrival, becoming, at 21, the first Frenchman to win a Grand Prix in the premier category of motorcycling since Regis Laconi in 1999.
Quartararo had achieved pole position. He soon gave way in the opening laps of the race, especially against Marc Márquez and Viñales, but the world champion went off the track, while the Spanish of Yamaha made another mistake, allowing the Frenchman to get in head to never leave the first place until crossing the finish line.
Márquez, who went off track when he was leading the race, then started an incredible comeback that took him from 18th to third position before making a new mistake and going to the ground with an impressive jump on the bike in the absence of few turns to the end.
The six-time world champion stayed on his knees, visibly sore and especially showing problems with his right arm. Television images showed his evacuation on a stretcher with his arm apparently immobilized.
The Spanish GP is the first test of the 2020 MotoGP World Championship, whose start was delayed several months by the coronavirus pandemic. Before the race, a minute of silence was observed by the victims of this disease, who were also honored by Fabio Quartararo after his victory.
