Russia recorded Monday less than 6000 daily cases of new coronavirus, a first since the end of April for the country, fourth in the world in number of contaminations. According to official statistics, 5,940 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Russia in the past 24 hours, while since the beginning of July the number of daily cases has always been more than 6,000.

Russia has also recorded 86 deaths in the past 24 hours, the lowest since early May. In total, the country, number 4 in the world in number of contaminations after the United States, Brazil and India, has officially listed to date 777,486 cases of coronavirus, including 12,427 deaths.
In May, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in Russia according to the authorities, the country recorded between 8,000 and 11,000 new cases of contamination daily. More than 553,600 people have recovered from coronavirus in Russia, according to official statistics.
