For the first time, the US military has practiced combined combat of robots and human infantry • This is an important step towards integrating manned vehicles on the future battlefield

Continued global arms race in the field of combat robots: The Command of the Vehicles in the US Army "CCDC", announced that it is currently conducting the first stage in the examination of combining robotic armored weapons with human fighters on the battlefield.

The exercise was conducted at the Fort Carson base and includes two types of Bradley anti-aircraft guns capable of functioning independently and remotely, with remote control. Good, and not just shooting at targets.The second anti-aircraft gun, "M113" is designed to carry protected combat forces to the future battlefield.

The advantage of remotely manned vehicles is that the driver of the vehicle does not have to sit in front of the ADF while being threatened by enemy forces.

The current training phase began on June 15 and is expected to last until August 14. The main purpose is to examine the means of control of the system which include video means, wireless networks for remote control and orderly operation of human ground forces together with robots and tools with advanced technology, which are supposed to operate in cooperation on the battlefield. The purpose of the present practice is to examine for the first time a combined movement of such forces to see how they maneuver and function on a battlefield and whether these forces will survive better in combat.

The experiment shows how far the U.S. military has advanced in studying the capabilities of combat robots. Now it is no longer just a simulation in the laboratory or the operation of one vehicle under practice conditions, but the exercise of a special task force in actual combat practice.
