Marc Marquez is ready to do anything to defend his world crown in Moto GP. And even to take certain risks which may seem inconsiderate by ordinary people. The surgeons were reassuring about the severity of the injury, specifying that the radial nerve had been spared. His return was envisaged by Dr Mir in early August for the Czech Republic Grand Prix. The same day, the pilot posted a photo of him on social networks, his right arm entirely under a bandage, indicating that he was now ready to "begin his convalescence".

The official MotoGP account confirmed that the six-time premier class world champion has been given the green light from the medical cell to line up in Jerez. Marc Marquez (27) should therefore be able to defend his chances in record time. The first free practices are scheduled for Friday morning at 10:40 am.
Two other drivers injured in the previous Grand Prix, Alex Rins (Suzuki) and Cal Crutchlow (Honda-LCR), have also been declared fit to compete in the next event. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the MotoGP championship calendar has been turned upside down and several Grands Prix are competing within a week of each other on the same track.
