Haute-Loire: the corpse of a man under guardianship found at his home six months after his death

The corpse in a state of advanced composition found Tuesday in social housing in Haute-Loire was that of a 71-year-old man placed under guardianship and dead for several months, we learned Thursday, July 23 from concordant sources. This inhabitant of Puy-en-Velay had died of natural causes for about six months according to the forensic scientist who examined his body, found by the police lying on the floor of his room. This man living alone and without contact with his family had pathologies, ”the deputy public prosecutor in Puy-en-Velay Rodolphe Part told AFP. In addition to neighbors of the pensioner, employees of the departmental social landlord, whose septuagenarian was a tenant, say they have sounded the alert on this person's situation, in vain. " We expressed our concerns three or four months ago but it has not changed, " one of them told the regional daily Le Progrès.

Contacted by AFP, the National Union of Family Associations (UNAF) did not wish to explain the reason for such a long delay between the death of the person under its care and the discovery of the body in her home.
