Franco Martín Moreyra (26), the thief killed after the assault on retired Jorge Ríos (70) last Friday in Quilmes Oeste, was shot twice, one in the chest and the other in the abdominal region, according to the autopsy report.
According to the preliminary autopsy report, accessed by Télam , two shells were removed from Moreyra's body.
Forensics from the Ezpeleta morgue informed the prosecutor of the case, Ariel Rivas, that the first bullet entered the thorax in the axillary midline, at the level of the sixth left intercostal space, crossed the fifth dorsal vertebra and stayed in the right shoulder.
According to judicial sources, the second projectile - and the one that caused the death - entered the abdominal area through the right iliac fossa, went through the retroperitoneum and ruptured the aortic artery and the vena cava, causing abdominal bleeding and hypovolemic shock.
