The main business chambers that make up the so-called Group of 6 released a statement on Friday to support the latest offer by the national government to restructure the foreign debt and ask bondholders to " cooperate with the final effort."

"Now, external creditors are required to cooperate with a final effort to finalize the agreed restructuring. In such a way that it constitutes an advance for two converging priorities: the integral development of Argentina and the guarantee that the country will honor its commitments. "they said.

That was the joint statement of the Association of Banks of Argentina (ADEBA), the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA), the Chamber of Commerce and Services, the Argentine Chamber of Construction, to the Sociedad Rural Argentina (SRA) and the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA).

Thus, from the G6 they joined the recent request that President Alberto Fernández made to external creditors, with which the country is trying to restructure a volume of debt of around 65,000 million dollars.

By participating in the Council of the Americas through a videoconference, Fernández asked the bondholders to "help Argentina out of this prostration" and reiterated that the country "cannot pay more."

G6 statement on the debt.

The members of the G6 considered that "after several months of negotiation, Argentina consolidated a proposal that reconciles the possibilities of growth with the fulfillment of the contracted obligations, in addition to reducing future expenditures."

"In this sense, the dialogue established and the offer presented show the country's willingness to clear the uncertainties of the financial horizon," they stressed.

Next, they considered that "the proposal raised by the National State and the willingness to pay construct an alternative that improves the objective situation of both parties."

"With its latest offer, our country seeks to respond in good faith to the requirements of its counterpart," they said.
