Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Colombia are the 5 with the most cases in the region, which has become the epicenter of the pandemic, six months after the coronavirus appeared in the world in Wuhan, China. The Chilean Ministry of Health announced on Friday that, starting this Tuesday, nine communes in the country will leave quarantine to enter a phase of "transition" towards lack of confidence.

The benefited communes are Colina, La Reina, Las Condes, Lo Barnechea, Ñuñoa, Til-til, Vitacura, San Antonio and San Felipe. The new stage allows the movement from Monday to Friday, outside the curfew. People will be able to go to work and mobilize - only between communes that are in transition - and they will not be able to enter those that are quarantined.

The Araucanía region will be the first to enter a more advanced phase, that of "initial opening", in which cinemas, restaurants and similar venues will be allowed to operate, up to 25% of their capacity.
