More police in Miami contract the coronavirus

In recent weeks, the numbers of Miami police officers who have been infected with the coronavirus have increased, resulting in a total of 167 civilian agents and employees who have contracted the virus, according to Armando Aguilar, Miami deputy police chief. One of them is Ernesto Sierra, commander of the Miami police in Allapattah, who recently tested positive for coronavirus. Sierra commented that exposure to the virus is inevitable since they deal with people who do not always take safety measures such as wearing a mask. Now, police officers are forced to take precautions like taking their temperature every day and monitoring their breathing levels.
