The Israel Police revealed this morning (Thursday) that they arrested five young residents of Jerusalem, aged 13-17, on suspicion of a series of sexual offenses allegedly committed by a 12-year-old minor.

The covert investigation of the case began about a week ago, after the police received information that a group of boys in south Jerusalem had committed sexual offenses on a minor for several months. According to the suspicion, some of the cases were even recorded on a mobile phone.

Following the investigation, police arrested five boys suspected of the acts during the week. As for one of them, about 15 years old, the suspicion arose that he was in contact with the minor and made sure to "organize" the meetings between her and the boys. Two of the suspects were brought before the court, and two more will be brought to court today. According to police, the girl is cooperating with investigators and testifying

The Israel Police calls on parents to be involved in the children's lives, especially during the period of great freedom, and to encourage them to share and talk to them about any fear of committing an offense against them.
