Former President Carlos Saúl Menem (90) was again admitted to the Los Arcos Sanatorium, where he will undergo medical studies. The senator was admitted on Wednesday night.
As confirmed by Zulema Yoma to the newspaper Ámbito, "he is hospitalized for studies only."
"They did an endoscopy. It is nothing that has to do with the picture he had, but since it is done in the operating room and because of his age, you have to take precautions," he added.
On June 13, he was hospitalized at the Diagnostic Institute for bacterial pneumonia and for at least 10 days he was treated with antibiotics. There, they carried out a coronavirus test, which yielded a negative result.
During the session of the Congress this Thursday, the senator from La Rioja María Clara Vega sent her a greeting and asked for her health.
"I want to send a greeting to our colleague from La Rioja, to Senator Carlos Menem, who has returned to be hospitalized. So that we all pray for his health and will come back with us soon , "said Vega.
It is the third hospitalization of the former president in just over a month . It is that after that June 13 he was hospitalized again on July 1 after medical checks, when it was decided that he should be housed to facilitate the checkup.
This situation caused concern about Menem's health, although his personal doctor Luis de la Fuente clarified that the senator "was always well and that there was no relapse, but that he was admitted to the hospital for more specific controls and studies of kidneys and diabetes. "
Now, as confirmed from his environment, the national senator underwent an endoscopy to confirm a possible diagnosis of anemia.
