A team of guards identified an inmate in the Zalmon prison on the roof of a wing inside the prison, and apparently tried to escape from the prison walls.

This is a 54-year-old criminal prisoner who has gone to prison 17 times in total. It is due to be released in October 2020.

The prisoner was identified by the prison's control center as he climbed the network of the hiking courtyard and climbed onto the roof of the wing. The wing guards were called to the scene and dropped him off. The background is actually under examination.

The Prison Service said: "Towards 10:00, a figure dressed in civilian clothes was identified on the roof of a wing in the inner part of the Zalmon Detention Center. The prison guards removed the prisoner from the roof and tied him up. The staff of the Zalmon Detention Center, with the help of the district forces, completed searches and counts in the Zalmon-Hermon prison complex until an escape was ruled out. He intended to flee because he claimed he "finished prison and should be released."

Zalmon Prison made headlines in the last two weeks after a prisoner exception case was revealed that was suspected of having relations with criminal prisoners. Decided to transfer the incident to the investigation of Blade 433. In addition, at this stage it was decided to take the prison intelligence officer on forced leave pending clarification of the facts.

Advocate Eyal Basarglik, who represents the prisoners, said in response: "The article that was published is seriously misleading and detached from reality in everything related to my client. My client needed medical attention and called for a request for the same medical treatment, treatment that he did receive from the competent authorities. IPS, even for a moment, did not think and do not think that there was anything wrong or wrong on the part of my client, and any investigation conducted by the IPS did not claim for a moment that anything was done that was wrong on my part. Needless to say, all the allusions about the prisoner's activities, and in the context of other factors as well, have nothing to do with my client and it is to be regretted that you chose to involve my client in this article. "

The IPS said: "A prisoner responded quickly to calls for help from one of the wards, around 04:30, from a cell where two inmates, one of whom has a cardiological medical background, are staying. The warden ran to the cell and identified a prisoner from unconsciousness - and immediately began performing operations to check his condition. The prisoner slowly began to recover and regain consciousness. While assisting the inmate, the warden noticed that the cell door slammed shut behind her and the walkie-talkie was left in the sentry position. A team of guards was sent to the wing after the warden did not respond to a contact check and opened the cell. Along with the prisoner's quick response to assist the prisoner, the incident will be investigated by the prison commander for the purpose of drawing lessons and refining procedures. "
