The third wave of the new crown pneumonia epidemic continued. The area around Tsz Wan Shan has been the hardest hit area since July. It was only last week that the Government announced that the Home Affairs Department would coordinate and cooperate with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to implement a community virus detection program for the most severely affected Tsz Wan Shan. However, it has been pointed out that the current plan only targets "Pai Tau Tsai" in public housing estates and does not really cover the entire Tsz Wanshan District. Yesterday (3rd) a group of Wong Tai Sin District Councillors went to the Civil and Municipal Affairs Bureau to petition, requesting the government to truly distribute masks and testing in the whole district, and urge the department to strengthen cooperation with the district council to fight the epidemic together.

As of the end of last month, there have been more than 200 confirmed cases in Tsz Wan Shan. Although the government has implemented a community virus testing program in Tsz Wan Shan, it is currently only carried out in housing estates. Private buildings in the area have not been included in the plan. According to Wong Tai Sin Tsz Wan East Constituency District Councillor, Mo Qixia, in the private building where the confirmed case was found in mid-July, some residents have not yet received the "Tun Tsai". There are still about four confirmed buildings in her Constituency. The building was not included in the plan. “We communicate with the Health Protection Center every day, but we haven’t implemented it when we can do it.” She said that although the clinic will distribute 110 sample collection kits daily, it is unknown whether the number is Enough to meet needs.

In addition, Mo also pointed out that the Home Affairs Department did not properly announce the plan information when distributing the "Bottles" in the housing estates last week, nor did it communicate with the incumbent democratic district councilors. Some residents, such as elderly people living alone, easily missed the time for "Sports". Those from the unsuccessful establishments have learned the information beforehand. She said that another key point of yesterday's petition is to hope that the department can put aside political factors and not refuse to cooperate because the district council is "all yellow", and should "walk with the people."
