Juan Carlos I is already outside Spain

King emeritus Juan Carlos I left Spain on Monday. King Felipe VI thanked his father for the gesture and highlighted his legacy and political work in Spain. The Supreme Court investigates whether the king incurred possible irregularities on a railway line inaugurated in Saudi Arabia. CNN contacted the Royal House to find out their position, but declined to speak on the matter. CNN also attempted to speak to the legal representatives of the emeritus king, but received no response.
