Suspicion of Toddler Abuse in the Tully Private Kindergarten in Ramla : Police today (Wednesday) arrested two more assistants aged 49 and 26 on suspicion of violence against children. In doing so, all kindergarten assistants were arrested. Tomorrow, the two will be brought to the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court for a hearing. Police said the investigation into the case is ongoing.
Yesterday, the husband of 42-year-old kindergarten teacher Moshe Bersi was also arrested, on suspicion of involvement in the affair, but he is not charged with abuse or assault of the toddlers. According to the suspicion, Bersi knew about the events but did not act to stop them and did not report them. He claimed in his defense that he only helped run the place and was not active in working with the toddlers.
The cases were discovered by chance when one of the parents, who had previously installed cameras in the garden at the request of the owners of the place, came to fix a fault. He watched the history of the documentation and was horrified to discover the deeds. He then passed the documentation to the other parents, who at the end of the viewing decided to complain.
In the documentation, which was also presented to the court, the assistants slapped the children, some of them tied to chairs with a diaper, pushed them, beat them with objects and more.
In addition, the parents of the kindergarten in Ramla petitioned the court to allow the police to release to the public the videos from the security cameras in which the assistants were seen harming the children before the issue was decided in court. "We watched the videos and so we went to the police. It is important that the whole world see what is being done there. It is not a kindergarten. It is an institution of torture. There is no situation where everyone was involved and the kindergarten owners knew nothing. There is no situation. It is important that the police publish it," they said.
A., one of the mothers added: "Unfortunately, the nightmare is terrible. It turns out that every day another assistant is involved. The state must wake up. These children did not have a single moment of compassion in this kindergarten or the other kindergartens where cases were discovered. It should end. Promising years - and nothing. ".
