Pompeo stated that Washington hopes to remove "untrusted" Chinese apps from the App Store in the United States, adding that Chinese apps such as TikTok and WeChat pose a serious threat to the personal data of Americans.
He also mentioned that the State Council, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and various government departments, restricts Chinese cloud service providers from collecting, storing, and processing data and sensitive data in the United States. In addition, Washington will ensure that the CCP will not obtain data through submarine cables.
Pompeo also pointed out that the United States and Russia have made progress in arms control, and he hopes that China will eventually choose to join.
