The Balearics and the Canaries, very touristy Spanish islands, are not concerned, according to the same source. Switzerland had already announced on Wednesday that it was adding Spain to its list of countries at high risk of catching Covid-19 and therefore requiring a mandatory quarantine for travelers coming from it.
Last week, Germany added three regions in northern Spain to its list of high-risk destinations. France and the United Kingdom have also taken measures to limit travel from this country. Austria has already restricted travel from many other countries due to the pandemic, including members of the EU (Romania, Bulgaria), as well as other Balkan states, including Serbia and Montenegro.
