Last Saturday evening, I was with friends at a demonstration near the house of Esther Hayut, president of the Supreme Court, in the Tzahala neighborhood of Tel Aviv. Police and court guards set up roadblocks that prevented us, the protesters, from reaching and protesting in front of the house. Rejoicing was filled with our voices of protest, and the neighbors came out thrilled and shaken in the face of the silence that had been broken. Among the neighbors were those who politely asked us to understand the concept of "conflict of interest" raised by journalist Kalman Liebskind, who brought evidence that the honorable judge was sitting on trial on matters of insurance companies her husband, a lawyer, represented.

The rejoicing neighbors, like us, also unequivocally claimed that "it is inconceivable" that this is how a trial is conducted in Israel. We received a similar response when we shared them regarding the exploits of Liat Ben-Ari and her partner and reports of construction violations in their new investment home in Rosh HaAyin. They are allowed, we are not allowed. One straight line is drawn between Hayut and Ben-Ari, the embodiment of the pursuit of justice.

It should be remembered that Esther Hayut acts by virtue of the trust that the people, her and her fellow judges give her. The legitimacy of large groups in society is what stands as an anchor that protects the Supreme Court. Esther Hayut and her friends seem to have forgotten this situation, and the anchor has crumbled and dissolved. The leadership of the judiciary stands on the bounce of the pool and leaves us all amazed at the boldness of the forehead. In fact, Hayut and Ben-Ari left us facing the decision: Should we continue to adopt the court decisions or take another path?

The former president of the Supreme Court, Prof. Aharon Barak, was the one who laid the foundations for the separation of the court from the general public, thus creating the legal chaos that could overwhelm Israeli society. Aharon Barak, who is called by many of the world's legal scholars "the legal pirate", is the one who made the chilling distinction between the "enlightened public" and those who are not.

His supporters who listened to his speeches and read his articles deny to this day, usually with a hand on heart, who understood that these statements had something to do with any community, ethnic division or, God forbid, right-to-left voting patterns. But everyone understood exactly what the exalted people were talking about. This is exactly how the left-wing rule over Israeli society was supposed to last without winning the election campaign.

Esther Hayut is the executive echo established by Aharon Barak's distorted ideology, which he created with his friends in the corridors of the Hebrew University's Faculty of Law. Similar to the discourse of "Brit Shalom" and "Ihud" in the pre-independence period, an ideological-political enclave was created with legal cover, which seeks to unravel the idea of unity and solidarity that lies at the foundations of Hebrew nationalism.

We do not forget how Yaakov Ne'eman, 10 years after he was forced to resign as justice minister due to an indictment from which he won, broke his silence and said: "Sew a case for me, they did not want a justice minister to make some changes." In the face of Yaakov Ne'eman's silence, he stated that throughout the investigation period, the State Attorney's Office and the police leaked the entire case to the media in a trending manner.

The goal of Ne'eman's opponents was achieved, and the will of the people was pushed into a corner. The trial prevented the appointment and the new spirit sought to lead the designated minister in the prosecution. Or in short the history of proper Hebrew law - as Shimon Shebes, former director general of the Prime Minister's Office, testified that the Attorney General, Michael Ben Yair, tried to sew a case for Yaakov Ne'eman: "I heard in my ears Ben Yair say 'I'm going to stab the fascist '', Testified Shebes.

Each and every one of us who has lost our temper from the current situation, and anxious about the direction that has developed from the distortions of the law enacted in the rock by Esther Hayut, Liat Ben Ari and their friends, must stand this coming Saturday evening in front of the Enlightenment and Justice in the Tzahala neighborhood. enough. Like Brit Brit Shalom and Ihud Pre-Independence, an ideological-political enclave was created under legal cover, which shapes the idea of unity and solidarity at the foundation of Hebrew nationalism.
