Sri Lanka's ruling alliance of Rajapaksa brothers won two-thirds of the seats in the parliamentary elections, an unprecedented victory that should allow them to amend the constitution to increase their power.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa's party won 146 seats, and his allies at least five, out of 225 in parliament, according to official results released early Friday.
