Three minors were indicted on Friday for " aggravated violence " against the mayor of the rural town of Miribel-Les-Echelles (Isère), the Grenoble prosecutor's office said. One of them, aged 17 and known to the police and justice services, was remanded in custody, said deputy prosecutor Boris Duffau.

Another was placed under judicial supervision and the third was the subject of a reparation measure (the young person is asked to think about the scope of his act, note), pending their referral to the juvenile court, he added. Two other young people, " not directly involved in the assault ", were released.
These five young people - including four minors - had been placed in police custody on Wednesday after the attack on the mayor of Miribel-Les-Echelles, a town of some 1,700 inhabitants located in the Chartreuse regional natural park.
