The National Bureau for Land Defense and Resistance to Settlement of the Palestine Liberation Organization confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities continue to violate international law and expand settlement operations in the West Bank, especially in occupied Jerusalem, with the support of the American administration in the framework of implementing its colonial plans to annex parts of the West Bank.
Ma'an News Agency quoted the office's weekly report issued today as saying that the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish a thousand new settlement units on the lands of the villages of Al-Tur, Anata, Al-Eizariya and Abu Dis in occupied Jerusalem, indicating that the plan will completely isolate occupied East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank.
The report pointed out that the occupation authorities seized 90 dunums of Palestinian land and demolished four houses, two agricultural establishments and a commercial establishment in the town of Issawiya in occupied Jerusalem, two houses in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a house in Beit Hanina, north of the city, thus increasing the demolitions carried out by the occupation authorities during the first half. From this year in Jerusalem, there were 74 demolition operations, concentrated in Silwan, Issawiya, Jabal Al Mukaber, Beit Hanina, Tire Baher, Shuafat, Wadi Al-Joz, Ras Al-Amud and Al-Tur.
The report indicated that the occupation authorities demolished a house in the town of Beit Awa in Hebron and several agricultural and commercial facilities in the towns of Idna and Susiya in the south of Hebron and al-Khader south of Bethlehem and Rantis northwest of Ramallah and delivered notices to demolish the village of Farasin, which is inhabited by about 200 people in the Yabd area west of Jenin within days. .
The report indicated that the occupation continues to restrict the Palestinians in the West Bank with the aim of displacing them, as its forces burned 20 thousand dunums of agricultural land in the village of Mughayir in Ramallah and bulldozed large areas of the lands of Dura, south of Hebron, to expand a settlement established on the lands of the town and seized 327 dunums of the lands of the village of Kisan East of Bethlehem, to establish 224 settlement units and 15 dunums of lands in the village of Rafat, west of Salfit, as well as uprooting 200 palm trees, demolishing 3 water wells that feed 210 dunums of agriculture in the village of Al-Jiftlik in the Jordan Valley, and preventing the Palestinians from extending a drinking water line in the village of Atouf, southeast of Tubas.
The report stated that settlers continue their attacks on Palestinians with the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed the towns of Hawara, Asira al-Qibli and Awarta in Nablus and the village of Farata, east of Qalqilya, and attacked Palestinian homes and properties, and stormed the towns of Burqin and Kafr al-Dik in Salfit and uprooted dozens of fruit trees.
