At least one person died and 20 were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Washington DC, according to police.
Some victims are in serious condition, the researchers added. Others have suffered minor injuries.
Police indicated that there were multiple shooters and that no arrests have been made in connection with this incident so far.
A police spokesman told The Washington Post that the type of situation in which the shooting occurred could be defined as a party.
The shooting took place in the south-east area of the US capital, between 33 Street and Dubois Place SE.
The reason for what happened is still unknown.
