Tragically, the power of the blast from the explosion that hit the port of Beirut is on the scale of the crises affecting Lebanon. The victims of this disaster, the immense material and human damage it leaves behind - everything in this drama requires a lot of lucidity, humanity and humility.

When it comes to Lebanon and the necessary humility, I often think of what Antoine Sfeir, the child of Beirut, said about it, with his inimitable gaze, as laughing as piercing: "If you have understood politics and history of Lebanon is that they were poorly explained to you ” . Beyond the wit of this indefatigable lover of the Mediterranean, there was a completely Socratic form of wisdom that was lacking in the public debate born of this tragedy. In this case, recognizing that one does not know anything with certainty and absolute is a mark of lucidity, more than of prudence.
