Ochtendung - A terrible incident occurred near a barbecue hut in Ochtendung (Rhineland-Palatinate). With a machete , a man (22) is said to have severed the left hand of a 21-year-old with one blow , the Koblenz public prosecutor said in a press release on Monday. The 21-year-old was also injured in the head and was at times in mortal danger . According to the public prosecutor's office, the act took place on Saturday evening (August 8). The 22-year-old accused told the investigators how this incident came about:
The 22-year-old chopped firewood near his gazebo with his machete . He noticed a car accident on a forest path nearby and wanted to rush to the driver with the machete in hand. However, the driver took a gun out of the glove compartment and shot him several times as a complete surprise . He then cut off his hand with the machete.
Minutes later, a larger car had come from the direction of the grill hut. Two men got out of the car and hit him several times in the face. Because of the injuries, the accused also had to be taken to hospital for medical treatment. According to the public prosecutor's office, a firearm is a blank gun.
