Montpellier Hérault Rugby announced on Wednesday that no player in the workforce was positive for Covid-19 after tests on Tuesday and that the preparation, suspended the day before as a precaution pending results, would resume normally. "Despite the alert having forced the medical staff and Xavier Garbajosa ( sports manager ) to suspend collective training and to cancel the membership review of August 14, the club is happy to announce that all the tests carried out on the players came back negative, the MHR said in a statement. The sports staff can therefore continue their summer preparation. "

The MHR had suspended collective training on Monday and canceled its first preparation match, scheduled for Friday, as a health precaution because the companion of a player had been in contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19. "I prefer to lose two days and leave healthily rather than continue and go beyond health precautions", had justified the sports manager of the MHR.
After two days of forced stoppage, the Montpellier residents resume training on Wednesday
Failing to organize the launch of its season on Friday with a meeting against its "succession" during a large internal workforce review, under the watchful eye of subscribers and partners, the Garbajosa team will be able to compete in the two other friendly matches against Aurillac (Pro D2) on Friday August 21 and in Toulouse on Friday August 28.

In the meantime, the Montpellier residents have resumed training on Wednesday and will undergo new medical tests on Friday. The Hérault club had taken this precautionary measure the day after the Stade Français chose to stop all training and place all players and sports personnel in isolation, at least until August 17, due to a "degraded" health situation within the club.
