Turmoil between LREM and MoDem

Against the backdrop of the election at the head of the LREM group, Patrick Mignola had caused a stir in the alliance between the presidential party and the Modem. François de Rugy and Christophe Castaner, both candidates for the presidency of the LREM group, were quick to react. And for the former Minister of the Interior, "the debate is normal and salutary, but always refusing party quarrels or apparent condescension ".

“ I extended my hand first to those who can come and strengthen the majority. And in a second step, when the majority will be reorganized (...) it will be necessary to look where people feel best, ”insisted the boss of MoDem deputies Wednesday on France Inter.

It is not a question of " reorganizing or redispatching the majority internally ", he added, wishing that the deputies " reorganize themselves to work together ". And to cite the example of " the Renaissance banner " under which the majority had campaigned in the European elections, which had " worked very well ".
