Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko announced that the first batch of Corona vaccine is expected to be produced within two weeks.
Russia Today quoted Murashko as saying during a press conference in Moscow today that “the Corona vaccine depends on a concrete scientific ground and has proven effective in clinical tests,” noting that “the feeling of competition was behind the foreign attitudes that questioned the Russian Corona vaccine.”
Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the registration of the world's first vaccine against the emerging corona virus “Covid 19”.
"I hope that we will be able to start producing large quantities of it in the near future, and this is very important," Putin said during a meeting with members of the government, explaining that the vaccine works very effectively, constitutes stable immunity and has passed all necessary tests.
Putin expressed the hope that other countries will press ahead with their research so that there are many products that can be used in the global market for drugs and vaccines.
