It's a nervous breakdown in the car that could have ended tragically. A 28-year-old woman was sentenced Wednesday by the Versailles Criminal Court to a two-year prison sentence, one of which was suspended. This motorist, originally from Versailles, appeared to have Monday afternoon in Bois-d'Arcy, crushed the leg of a 69-year-old woman after an argument. The justice ordered the cancellation of his driving license and pronounced an obligation of care. She will not be incarcerated.
Around 4:15 p.m. at the Leclerc center, Justine was in a hurry to get home. Her two children are in her car and a Toyota Yaris is speeding ahead. The little car hesitates and stops at the stop sign. Justine is overwhelmed. She overtakes when she is not allowed and the driver calls her headlight. The young woman stops the car in the middle of the road. She leaves the cabin and walks towards this elderly couple.
Insults and glasses that fly
Insults are exchanged. On the passenger side, the sixty-year-old pointed out that if she wants to be respected, you have to start by respecting others. Justine doesn't like thinking and throws her hand in the direction of the face of this woman whose glasses are flying on the road. The passenger gets out of her vehicle to pick them up and sees Justine's car arrive on her. “I put my hands on the hood and removed my legs,” explains Suzanne. Hardly wasted, the car crushed her right leg for the first time before passing over it in reverse. The victim is screaming and his lower limb is bleeding.
The police and firefighters arrive quickly. The sexagenarian is taken to the hospital. The tire burned her severely, but she did not suffer any fractures. The investigators hear the victim and her husband who are convinced that the young woman acted voluntarily. Then two outside witnesses and the CCTV images are overwhelming.
She maintains that she "did not commit a criminal act"
In the court box, the young woman admits that her annoyance was completely unjustifiable. “It's not the heat, it's because I have a shitty life (sic). I don't know why I attacked these elderly people, ”Justine breathes. But she maintains that she did not "commit a criminal act". “I haven't seen this woman. I didn't want to hurt her. It's a black hole, ”she adds. It was recalled that her two children were suffering from a serious illness and that she was in the process of separation with her companion.
The prosecutor had requested the imprisonment of this woman, believing that she had not yet realized that she could have killed the victim. On the benches of the defense, Me Alexandre Simonin pleaded against this imprisonment and demanded a justice which conceives the file as it is and not according to what could have happened. He put the victim's injuries into perspective and recalled that Justine has never been convicted, that she has worked and struggled with a difficult life since her childhood.
