Hama-sana
The Hama Agriculture Directorate estimated the production of about 74 thousand tons of olive fruits in the governorate during the current season.
The head of the Directorate of Plant Production Department, Eng. Bassam Al-Nashar, stated to the SANA correspondent today that the total number of olive trees in the governorate is 12 million and 800 thousand fruit trees, of which 10 million and 351 thousand trees are distributed in irrigated and rainfed lands.
He pointed out to the most important varieties that Hama is famous for cultivating, which are Al-Sourani and Al-Qaisi in most areas of the governorate, Al-Khudairi and Al-Saffrawi, and their cultivation is concentrated in the western regions of the governorate, in addition to Al-Dabili and Al-Jalat.
