For elementary school students , this rule does not apply, as long as classes are held and they sit on their seats. There is also no mask requirement in the all-day and childcare facilities. From now on, there is also a fixed seating arrangement in the classroom in order to be able to understand possible chains of infection .

Changes for daycare children in NRW * will not take effect from August 12th, but rather from August 17th. On this date, regular operations in the daycare centers start - under strict Corona hygiene measures .

There are also changes in the NRW Corona Protection Ordinance for travelers returning  The following still applies: Anyone who returns to Germany after a trip to a risk area and has a positive corona test must be in quarantine for 14 days . This also applies to travelers who cannot be tested. Anyone who resists this is committing an administrative offense . Quarantine is not necessary if the test for Covid-19 is negative .

According to the amended Corona Travel Ordinance, the  quarantine regulation does not apply to people who are "in the federal territory to carry out diplomatic or consular tasks or mandatory professional matters or to take or prepare for training or study-related examinations". The prerequisite is that these people do not stay in Germany for more than 72 hours.
