Camila decided to report her case after seeing on the news that Naasón Joaquín García, leader of La Luz del Mundo, had been arrested for sexual abuse and trafficking.
When the process began, Camila told Noticias Telemundo Investiga that she was raped by two members of her church. She claims that the pastor forced her to marry one of his rapists. "He hung me when I was pregnant," she said then.
The list of complaints of sexual abuse against members of La Luz Del Mundo grows every day. In June 2019, the Apostle Naasón was initially arrested in California for 26 crimes of trafficking and sexual abuse to which more charges have been added.
Last week, the judge in the case raised the bail to 90 million dollars, while the Prosecutor's Office presents the testimonies with new complaints of sexual abuse.
