      A one-year-old baby was killed this evening (Friday) in a frontal car accident at the entrance junction to Kfar Shaab in the north of the country. Her 29-year-old mother and two brothers, aged three and five, were seriously injured. The father of the family, 27, was moderately injured. The MDA team provided them with medical treatment and evacuated them to the Galilee Medical Center. The baby was evacuated to Rambam Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

      Police were called to the scene of the incident and road accident investigators collected findings and opened an investigation.

      A senior MDA paramedic, Firas Khoald, said that "when we arrived at the scene, we saw in the agricultural area next to the road access to Sha'ab, 2 vehicles with very serious tin injuries, in one of the vehicles there were 3 injured, a 5-year-old toddler unconscious, with no pulse, and no breathing, with Severe multi-systemic sabotage, we immediately started performing resuscitation operations on her during which a pulse returned and we quickly referred her to the hospital when she was in critical condition. In addition, a 40-year-old woman in a serious condition, with injuries to her abdomen and limbs, and a 27-year-old man in moderate condition, with injuries to her limbs, were sitting in the vehicle. We provided them with life-saving medical care that included bandages and fixations and quickly referred them to the hospital. "

      Meanwhile, three days ago, Leon Shmol, an 81-year-old resident of Tirat Carmel, was killed in a car accident on Road 4, near Moshav Megadim on the Carmel coast. His 79-year-old wife, who was with him in the car, was seriously injured, and a 38-year-old man from Atlit was moderately injured.

      The accident occurred around 4:30 PM in a head-on collision between the vehicle in which a resident of Atlit was traveling south, with the vehicle in which the elderly were traveling north, when one of the vehicles deviated from its lane for an unknown reason and crossed the double dividing line marked on the road.

      Ahrela Horowitz, a ZAKA North volunteer who took care of the scene, said that when he arrived at the scene, he saw two vehicles "completely shattered."
