The global corona epidemic also halted the unique discovery project that brings young Jews from all over the world to Israel. But Taglit does not give in to the situation, and launched an interactive tour that allows young people from all over the world to spend a day in Israel as Taglit participants.

"While tens of thousands of young Jews were scheduled to visit Israel this summer, we quickly turned to online platforms and created high-level content and activities for our graduates around the world as well as participants whose tours were postponed," says Noa Bauer, Taglit's VP of Marketing.

The unique and first-of-its-kind "Choose Your Own Adventure" tour is based on the EKO platform, and allows users to make decisions that shape the tour in real time. This means that the online tour will allow you to choose between visiting Masada or the Western Wall, eating at an Arab bistro or a vegan restaurant, visiting Taglit's Israeli Innovation Center at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange or a local winery in the Ella Valley and then floating on the Dead Sea or surfing at the beach.

At each site, the Neve online guide meets local Israelis who will provide a deeper and more authentic perspective on Israeli culture. The tour lasts only about ten minutes and you can do it again and again with different options at a time.

"Today we invite the tens of thousands of participants whose tours have been postponed, as well as Taglit participants in the past and in the future, their families and loved ones and anyone who wants to experience Israel - to take part in the first interactive tour of its kind," Taglit added.

At the same time, a study by Professor Len Sachs of the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University found that 18% of those who registered for the discovery whose tours were postponed claimed that they were ready to board a plane to Israel "right now."

“We continue to work uncompromisingly on the outline of our activities for the day when the teams start arriving, in a safe and fun way,” Bauer says. The return of the groups to Israel will strengthen our state relations with the Diaspora, connect young Jews to their Jewish identity and the State of Israel, and provide a very significant contribution to the Israeli economy, to businesses in the periphery.
