A fire broke out, followed by an explosion in an ammunition factory in Al Shajarah, south of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum today.
The Sudanese News Agency quoted an informed source as saying that "the fire is limited and has been controlled," noting that it did not result in any casualties.
For its part, the Sudanese Ministry of Interior indicated in a statement that the fire was extinguished by 6 vehicles belonging to the Sudanese Civil Defense Forces.
The statement indicated that the authorities are working to count the losses and determine the causes of the fire.
