Ten-year-old Malo was playing by the pool when he saw another child struggling to surface after a jump. “ I saw he wasn't pretending. I then took it out of the water, ”said the rescuer for one day in Ouest-France .

An adult then came to take care of the smallest before the arrival of the Samu. The victim, hospitalized as a precaution, is well. An investigation was opened by the police to understand the course of the accident. As the regional daily specifies, the campsite cannot be blamed in this case, swimming is not supervised. The parents of the 7-year-old child who escaped drowning should be heard by law enforcement.
According to a study by Public Health France carried out in the summer of 2018, drownings, which cause a thousand deaths per year, are the leading cause of accidental death for those under 25.
